So thankful

There are so many other things on my mind right now that I could write about since I have been forming blogs in my mind for over a week and just haven't had the time to write them. Today is different. I MUST say what is on my mind right now before it slips and time gets away from me.

I am so very thankful and relived to know that a certain young lady is safe and sound. Mike's cousin celebrated her 14th birthday on Sunday with family. She went to bed around 10-11 pm and that was the last time she was seen. Her parents went to get her ready for school Monday morning but she was no where to be seen. I have no idea what happened...but I know the police was called right away and they acted quickly to start following leads. This young lady is gifted, a straight A student, and not the type of person that you would ever think could put herself in a bad situation. After a very restless night for Mike and me (I can only imagine how her parents are feeling), we finally got good news this morning. She was found in a park sleeping somewhere near Summit Mall. I have no idea what happened or why she was there, but I am grateful she is ok.

You hate to rush to conclusions when something like this happens to a young girl, but with all the crazy and perverted people out there...who knows what could have happened to her. Make sure you hugs your friends, family, and especially children, every chance you get.

I could write so much more, but the neglected pile of papers is calling my name and needs me to grade them. :-)
