So lucky :-)

Wednesday we had a snow day (yippeee!) and while Mike was cooking us breakfast, I decided to shovel the back desk so the dog could go out. We had probably close to 12"-16" on the back deck and the dog wouldn't go potty without a path to get outside. I went out to make way for her, and in the process pinched a nerve in my back. When I was a junior in high school I had a riding accident where I shifted my hip bone 3 inches and pinched a bunch of nerves in my back. Ever since then I have episodes where I re-pinch a nerve and have to wait it out. So...I have decided that I am the luckiest person on the earth! I am so lucky because even though I was in a ton of pain, I have a husband that would do anything for me! This morning I stepped in a wet spot by the front door and got my socks all wet. I was running late and wasn't sure I could change my socks in time, since it takes me close to five minutes to put socks on when my back is hurt, so Mike ran and got me new socks and put them on for me. Something so silly and little really made my day. I didn't have to spend the day in wet socks, and I got to realize again just how much Mike loves me. I am truly blessed and lucky.
