Anyone that doesn't believe in SOMETHING, has to hear that tonight, while having candles burning, we had a gas leak when a valve was bumped into the "on" position. At the same time, we had a 3-5 inch flood in the basement. The gas leak was next to the washer and dryer, that were running, next to the gas furnace, that was also on. The candles were upstairs, but not that far from the entry and where the gas was coming from. Luckily, Mike realized that there was gas flooding our house, at the same time as it was filling up like a swimming pool, and we were able to get it turned off and ventilated before it caused any major damage...or an explosion!!!

All we can do is lay in bed and thank our guardian angels that those candles didn't send our house up in flames. Everyone is ok. A bit shaken up, and we needed new underwear, but we are ok. (Haha)

I will explain the whole situation when my hands aren't shaking. :-)
